A Few Words About Me
Chef Daniela Becerra (Chef Danii) the newest addition to our Big Island Farms family of directors. All the way from South America she was born in Colombia and raised in Venezuela. She has been in the US expanding her knowledge and passion since 2010.
Daniela found her love for the kitchen at an early age helping her mom in the kitchen prepping for her family’s tropical cafe/restaurant. Her culinary journey began in 2017 after adopting a vegan diet and helping serve at Sivananda Yoga Ashram in California where she also became a yoga instructor. After seeing what nourishing food did to her health in overcoming many health issues including her chronic kidney condition she made it her mission to use Gaia’s life spirit to guide people towards holistic health though nutritious plant-based cooking.
Pursuing her mission she became a holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where she was able to merge her passion for cooking and nutrition. Over the last 2 years her culinary career has been filled with a wide array of mindful cooking experience. Ranging from being a chef at Live Raw Juice Bar, the best raw vegan restaurant in north panhandle of Florida; working with organic produce Co-op at Organic Cafe, a farm-to-table eatery; delighting families as personal vegan chef, cooking for a conscious retreat, serving meals for those with food allergies, assisting clients adopting a plant-based diet, meal prepping and much more.
She continues to enrich her culinary skills and passion for holistic health through working closely with organic farms, holistic retreats, and health experts on veganism.
Chef Danii has been working to create nutritious delightful dishes that help bridge the gap of our farm to table experience and education of holistic medicine.
