Growing up in the Minnesota wetlands sparked my curiosity of nature and science as a young child. One of my earliest memories is of my mom and me helping turtles cross the street during mating season. I went on to pursue my interest in science at Wellesley College, and I graduated with a B.A. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. My current scientific interests include food and ecological efficiency, sustainability, nutrition, and their applications to human societies today. I also have a passion for helping students develop skills for scientific reasoning and primary literature analysis. My pastimes include plant-based cooking, practicing yoga, and petting cats.
